THE FLORENTIN

Frankfurt

“The city of Frankfurt is the beating heart of the unstoppable Germany economy yet, curiously, it’s a city with remarkably few good hotels. The opening of The Florentin in 2025 will change all that, as Frankfurt becomes home to one of the most remarkable luxury hotels in Europe.”

The Florentin, an Althoff COLLECTION Hotel, is planned as an “urban retreat” with a total of 147 rooms & suites. Guests can expect superior comfort and luxury as part of a new concept. The hotel will offer 98 Deluxe Rooms, 10 Junior Suites, and 39 Suites, including 8 Signature Suites and the Royal Suite (over 3,450 square feet) in the historic villa. The luxury Florentin is located in Frankfurt’s leafy Sachsenhausen district, and is set to open in late summer 2025.

The name, “The Florentin,” was chosen to symbolize the heart of the complex’s architectural ensemble: its magnificent inner courtyard. Derived from the Latin “florens,” meaning blossoming or flourishing, the hotel’s name reflects growth and constant renewal, a reference to the natural beauty and vitality that will surround the guests of this unique property.

The original villa from which the hotel has developed was built in 1901 by the prestigious von Speyer banking family. Designed in Gothic and Renaissance style by Frankfurt architect, Alfred Günther, it was expanded into a hotel some decades ago.
